GENERAL COUNSEL DANIEL A. PEPPER

Daniel A. Pepper joined Nest Egg Studios in March 2007 as General Counsel. Mr. Pepper is the Managing Partner of Pepper Legal Consulting Group, LLC, and has been practicing law for 13 years. His practice areas include information technology and business process outsourcing, including outsourcing for the financial services and healthcare industries, technology joint ventures and strategic alliances, software and technology licensing, electronic commerce, and intellectual property protection. Mr. Pepper regularly advises his clients on cross-border technology transfers, development and testing arrangements, distribution channels, technology deployment, e-commerce and Internet strategies, including compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and data security and privacy management. Mr. Pepper also advises clients in the entertainment and media fields, handling licensing and merchandising, film production, finance and distribution, television development, production and distribution, music publishing and administration, and exploiting electronic and emerging media. Mr. Pepper joined Nest Egg Studios because he believes in the vision of the Heavenly Bodies™ concept, and the determination and commitment of Vera Newman, Nest Egg Studios’ founder and president. Mr. Pepper brings broad and deep legal experience in the technology, entertainment, and multimedia fields to help ensure that Nest Egg Studios can achieve its goals.

Prior: Regional Counsel for BEA Systems, Corporate counsel for Oracle Corporation. Mr. Pepper also practiced with the Computer and New Media Group of Friedman Siegelbaum, LLP, in Roseland, New Jersey

Specialty: Mr. Pepper has lectured on diverse subjects, including software licensing and distribution, IT outsourcing for the health care industry, the use of application service providers, and digital rights management in multimedia transactions. He also teaches legal business formation courses through the New Jersey Small Business Development Center.
