Brief description of organization:
Nest Egg Studios Inc. is a newly formed independent multimedia studio as of early 2007. The company posses established core management team of professionals with 105 years of combined experience in entertainment and tech business development. The studio has a mission to revolutionize the gaming and multimedia markets by creating a fun, exhilarating, sophisticated entertainment for mature audiences with an emphasis on mature “female” consumers!
Nest Egg Studios Inc is looking to expand our consultant base by sourcing to help push the development of our new "social dating network site", as well as our flagship games visual demo prototype and games graphic novel. Specifically we are looking for those that understand the risk in working in an online startup environment.
Job title: Concept Environmental Artist
Short description of position:
The artists will work with the leads, senior artists, existing concept artists, and will help convert ideas into graphical concepts for the creation of production assets on various projects.
Special skills required:
The artist must be highly motivated and a creative individual with honed fine art skills and the ability to illustrate concepts quickly. As an artist you will be part of a dedicated team and will focus on creating environmental concepts, providing an exciting, imaginative and contemporary vision through sketches, storyboards and full color artwork, although assistance in developing characters and props may also be required occasionally. Ability to rapidly express the vision in both line art and color imagery that conveys mood, and composition. Proven skills with design applications will be expected, as will excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Any experience of working with storyboards would be also be distinct advantage,

Additional qualifications include:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent people and team skills
- Independent problem solving capability and willingness to work on own initiatives
- Familiarity with 2D computer paint packages, such as Photoshop or Painter.
- Excellent transition skills
- (preferred) undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in an art-related field.
- Portfolio samples that show 2d environment concept ability is required.
